At the beginning of the year, I set out on a journey to be much healthier in 2010. And I wanted to do it without spending a ton of cash. I started simple with the Wii Fit that my daughter got for Christmas and using workout DVDs. I talked about my top tips in the local paper. I moved on to running in the spring. I did some biking this summer. And a few weeks ago, we joined a local church’s fitness center and I’ve found my happy place by running, lifting weights, and taking classes there. And we’ve spent VERY little (even the family membership was only $100 for the entire year). Would you like to know what’s happened as a result?
- I’ve taken a whopping 4 pts off my BMI.
- I’ve lost over 23 lbs.
- I’ve run my first Mini Marathon.
- I rode my bike 120 miles in one day.
- I finally fit into pre-Youngest Princess clothes again (which saves me even more money).
- I feel great!
I’ve talked about Couch to 5K programs before but I strongly encourage you to check one out today. You can even google Couch to 5K podcasts and download one that plays with your music to tell you when to walk and run. It all starts with one goal.www.queenoffree.net
