Hi friends, over the next few weeks I’m going to be giving away a few of my favorite newly released books. Today, I’m excited to welcome my friend Chuck Tate to the Queendom. You may recall that back in October 2013, I won a publishing contest sponsored by the Re:Write Conference and then penned Slaying the Debt Dragon. It was a joy to see Chuck win the same competition and watch his publishing journey unfold through his first book. .
His new book 41 Will Come: Holding On When Life Gets Tough – and Standing Strong Until a New Day Dawns is one of the most hope filled books I’ve read in quite some time. Plus Chuck’s sister spells her name the right way (Cherie gets no respect in the personalized mini-license plates you put on your bike world). It was my joy to endorse 41 Will come and I know Chuck’s words will be a blessing to those who read them.
Today I asked Chuck to share some wisdom with us AND he’s been gracious enough to give away an audio version and paperback version of his book so read to the bottom to enter!
First of all, I want to thank Her Highness, for inviting me to hang out with you! I’m honored for the opportunity to contribute today via Queen of Free. Cherie is more than a fellow author, but a friend who has walked along side of me throughout my debut-publishing journey.
Allow me to get right to the crux of what I want to say to you today. If you are going through a tough time in your life, I want to encourage you to hold on and stand strong. Don’t quit. Don’t throw in the towel! Don’t you dare give up! I believe there is help around the corner.
Using the Biblical numeric and verses surrounding the number 40, I want to show that if you can just hang on, “41” is on the way. Here are some examples:
• In the Bible, it rained forty days and forty nights. On day forty-one the rain stopped.
• Moses committed murder and then hid on the backside of a desert for forty years. Forty-one came and he received a second chance and was commissioned by God to be the rescuer of Israel.
• The children of Israel wandered the wilderness for forty years. Forty-one came and a new generation entered the Promised Land.
• Goliath challenged Israel for forty days, begging someone to fight him. Forty-one came and David killed the giant.
• Jonah went to Nineveh to deliver a message of doom-and-gloom for forty consecutive days—that God was going to wipe out their city because of its wickedness. Forty-one came, the people responded with repentance, and God instead extended grace and mercy.
• Jesus fasted and prayed in the wilderness for forty days and was tempted by the devil. Forty-one came, Jesus spoke the Word, the devil fled, angels showed up, and He launched His epic ministry.
As you can see from the above examples, the number 40 in scriptures, oftentimes represents a period of testing, trial, or waiting. Day 41 (or year 41) in is the day that delivers breakthroughs, second chances, new beginnings, and fallen giants.
When people are trudging through those 40 hard days or years—or for what feels like forty days or years—so many throw in the towel and quit right before the answer comes. Proverbs 24:10 says that if we quit during times of adversity our strength is small. So don’t quit! If we are going to accomplish something great—such as getting out of debt—if we are going to see a financial breakthrough, then we have to wait on God and trust Him with all of our heart. We also have to do our part.
The Queen of Free is living proof that good things come to those who wait, to those who step onto the battlefield to slay financial giants, and to those who refuse to quit when facing a downpour of debt.
I will leave you with one of my favorite scriptures—Proverbs 13:12. It says, “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life.” Most people have experienced a season of setback that feels like getting kicked in the gut. Maybe you’re there right now? Don’t quit. God will do His part. If you will do yours, your “happily ever after” is right around the corner. Forty-one will come.
Thanks, Chuck! Now for the good stuff. Check out the Rafflecopter below to see how you can enter to win either a copy of the audio book or the paperback (we’re giving away one of each!).

I would love to win this book to learn more about what the Bible has to say about finances. I am trying to get back on my feet again after a major health crisis, and this book can help me make it to a better financial place.

I am entering because this blurb is so good. I own my own business and so I know how it feels at times to want to throw in the towel. But, I know God has called me to this and I am excited about the 41. Sounds great!
