Hi friends, just checking in with an update about Slaying the Debt Dragon. As we continue to add a few elements to the new Slaying the Debt Dragon website (Video! Sharebales!), I wanted to give you some practical steps to help me out if you feel so inclined. Since I’m a rookie author, I’ll be the first to admit that I need each and everyone of you being a publicist for me to spread the word about Slaying the Debt Dragon. Whether that’s a conversation over coffee with your BFF, a few words spoken over the fence with your neighbor, telling your pastor, or simply using your social media channels I would be SO grateful to you if you helped a sister out.
- Like, Share, or Retweet anything you might see. Even if you only have 10 followers, this step is HUGE. The more something is shared on social media, the “stickier” it is. That means simply liking a post you see on the Queen of Free Facebook page will help other people see it too. Beyond a like, a share would make me clap my little hands together in glee. So especially if you resound with a quote or a post or a picture, please please please hit the little like button. It makes a HUGE difference.
- Join the Social Media Launch Team. On Facebook, I’m gathering the troops. You can join the Social Media Launch Team with a simple click. During the month of December things will get kicky over there as more and more excitement builds for the book’s January 1st launch date. For the space of a few weeks, I’ll share a FB or Instagram post you can choose to use in the morning and a Pin or Tweet you can share in the evening. It’s totally fine if you don’t share each and every post (I wouldn’t expect you to) AND it’s fine if you don’t have every channel. Overall, we just need help creating some online racket when it comes to the messages of the book and its availability. Plus I think during the week between Christmas and New Year’s people are most accepting of messages of hope when it comes to their finances. We want to spread that hope! BONUS: We will be giving away some smashing prizes to those who share the most. You won’t want to miss out on that!
- Join the Blogger Book Launch Team. I am looking for bloggers of all varieties – regardless of size or niche – to join in the fun. If you blog, you need to apply ASAP as the slots are filling up quickly. This is slightly different from the Social Media Launch team. And more details can be found here. Don’t think “My blog is too small.” NOT TRUE. I need you. Everyone will have some sort of role to play. PROMISE.
If ever you’ve found a helpful tip or I’ve made you smile or you got free tea from Chickfila or free undies from a post you’ve read here, I am begging pleading asking in my nicest big girl voice if you would possibly lend a hand. I am so thankful for the potential of sharing the good news of casting off the chains of debt and stepping into True Freedom through this book. I have no idea if anyone will buy it at all but I want more than anything to give people hope through our story.
