Great Tupperware Give Away Just in time for Back to School

Remember last week when I was giving tips on how to save money when packing your lunch?  Well I kind of glazed over the fact that while you’re saving money, you can also be saving the planet!  Lady Tammy, my favorite Tupperware Diva, posted on our Facebook Fanpage (which you should totally follow if you don’t already) some great facts about how Tupperware encourages both:

Whatever reusable lunch system you decide upon, you are making an impact on our environment! It has been estimated that on average a school-age child using a disposable lunch generates 67 pounds of waste per school year. That equates to 18,760 pounds of lunch waste for just one average-size elementary school.

And if that doesn’t convince you, maybe this will. A typical american lunch (disposable and prepackaged) costs an average of $4.06 per day or $723 a year. A disposable lunch averages only $2.65 a day or $477 per year.

Keep in mind that $2.65 is an average lunch cost.  We usually come in well under that amount (around $1.50) by packing our lunch making it MUCH cheaper to pack lunch than purchase a lunch ticket.

And wouldn’t you know it, Tupperware has a great new line of lunch bags (available through August 14th) that will help you save money and look stylish too.

Fashion Lunch Set $24.00

This fantastic little number that’s my favorite comes with two great containers, a soup mug and a modular bowl.  It’s lined on the inside so no worries if you leak a little something or have an accident.

Kids’ Lunch Set $19.50
(reg. price $26.50)

It comes with a sandwich keeper and two snack cups.  It has a great place on the side for for your thermos or water bottle.  It’s lined, too of course (great for kiddos).  I love the zipper on the front where you can stash extras like notes, napkins, or ketchup.  It’s very easy to open, too.  And it would be great for lunch totin’ husbands.

Teen Lunch Set $25.00
(reg. priced $35.50)

While the description says Teen Lunch Set, this screams Mom’s taking the kids to the park to me.  It has a ton of the room on the side for bottles of water and juice boxes.  It comes with two good sized stackable containers and a snack cup.

Ice Age Lunch Set $25.00
(reg. priced $39)

This is the Eldest Princess’ favorite!  It includes the super duper roomy bag (I could pack a chicken dinner in there!), a sandwich keepers, two snack cups, and a reusable spoon.  You can purchase the drink bottle for an additional $12 (it’s super nice!).

There are also all sorts of great items to put in your lunch box, more great reusable drink bottles, and lunchbox organizers here.  If you have any Tupperware needs at all, Lady Tammy is your woman.  Tupperware is a quality product that lasts forever.  It’s non-toxic and durable.

    The Ice Age one is my favorite, well not actually my favorite–but my son’s favorite because he loves the Ice Age movies! The Fashion one is my favorite because of the containers that come with it. They are very versatile and fit well in many different lunch boxes.

    I’m a subscriber. i think they are all really cool. But my personal favorite is the Teen set. It doesn’t look like a lunchbox and I can sneak it into baseball games. Sometimes they do not allow coolers and this would be the perfect solution. Thanks!

    I LOVE the fashion set, however I would proudly use any of them as I take my lunch to work daily. Right now I use a tattered, plain black box with the John Deere logo and a strap held on with a safety pin that is probably ready to celebrate it’s decade anniversary. But I just cant get myself to buy a new one since I got this one for FREE and it still works. But it is so uninspiring to eat a good lunch from such a sad looking container. I am hoping for luck that you will choose my entry!!! Thanks!!!

    I like the kitchen lunch set. My daughter would probably really like that for school since she takes her lunch every day. Frugal and green are a great combo!

    Do I really only get to pick one as my favorite? I love all things Tupperware and actually still have MY Tupperware lunchbox from 30 years ago(orange with wraparound strap). I guess I would have to say the kids lunch box is awesome and Tupperware has done a great job keeping up with the times!

    i like the Teen set the best. I could use it for picnics with the kiddos, for a lunch for me on a mommy day out, or even the Hottie Hubby could use it for work! perfect for this granola mom who tries not to use plastic bags!
