Royal Update: Getting back on track

Tips like these helped us pay off $127K in debt. You can read our story in Slaying the Debt Dragon: How One Family Conquered Their Money Monster and Found an Inspired Happily Ever After.

July 20, 2009 By Cherie Lowe

Welp folks, after a glorious week of vacationing and traveling, sipping coffee in a cafe while blogging to my heart’s desire, I am now back to reality.  There are half unpacked suitcases, laundry in the washer, dryer, and on the couch (both the folded and unfolded variety).  The dishes are begging to be washed, toys are somehow everywhere (how is that possible since we weren’t home hardly at all last week?), the floors need swept and mopped, my desk is piled with books, papers, and more.  Yay for coming home.

And yet, there is something wonderfully lovely about the mundane.  Even if it is a mess, it’s my mess.  🙂  Fixing the hubs lunch to take with him (he never leaves home without it!), brewing my own coffee, taking out the trash (it’s the little things, you know?), all bring me great joy, too.  Today there’s much virtual house cleaning to do on QoF, too!  You have so many great freebies to hear about.  And hopefully I’ll begin posting my cupcake pics today, too (probably late in the day).  I’ll get our meal plan up (we had to make a MAJOR trip to Aldi yesterday because the fridge was emp-ty). And if I have a time, I’ll post a recipe, too.  Later in the week, I have a review to post and I get to tell you all about my sweet new apron that Lady Ariel made for me.  It is FABULOUS and makes cleaning a little bit easier for my messy/wish I was doing anything else soul.

Have a fantastic Monday!

I think you should do a post on what you pack for hubs for lunch. I always need ideas in that area.

Lady Kristin, of course I always shop Aldi Smart! If go no where else, I always go for Aldi. My favorite deal right now is the $1.49 Red/Yellow Pepper combo. Can you even believe it? YUM.
