So today, I’m working on clearing out our laundry room as a Birthday Gift for the King. He has a birthday next Monday and unfortunately it’s going to take me until then to get it clean. Now lest you call CPS on me for having our children in deplorable living conditions, do know that our Laundry Room is rather large and attached to the garage. So, it’s kind of a dumping ground for all sorts of things. We definitely need a better strategy for managing clutter in there. Unfortunately, I stink at clearing clutter. I can do anything for 15 minutes! When I have a big task to accomplish I set my timer for 15 minutes and go at it. Make three piles-keep, toss, donate. Work at this for 15 minutes, rest for 15, then work again for 15 until the project is completed. If it’s an especially large task you may want to stretch it out over a few days.
