Good morning Lords and Ladies! I’m a little worn out this AM . . . worked out a little too hard yesterday, slept in a little too late this AM, stayed up a little too late last PM, and the coffee is brewing slower than normal. We’ll get it going eventually around here, I guess. Anybody else watch the LOST season finale last night? It was rather fantabulous. But now, I’m going to have a six and a half month headache as I try to think about all I watched and wonder what’s going to happen next.
This week, in Three Things Thursday, I’m going to celebrate the King. He’s got a big birthday next Monday, turning the double three. Birthdays are the one day of the year when just about any and every retailing organization will give you something for nothing (or close to nothing). And just as I suspected, the King’s e-mails have been rolling in daily in anticipation of his big day. If you click here or on the Happy Birthday label in the side column, you’ll find 20 separate articles all about things you can get for free on or near your birthday. I ran a series back in October when I celebrated my own birthday (and probably will do something similar this October). But this AM, I thought I’d share my three favorite Free Birthday Treats:
1) Coldstone Creamery’s Birthday Club: Go here to sign up for a My Coldstone Account and you get an awesome free ice cream on your birthday, no purchase necessary. Don’t quote me here but I believe it’s a Like It with two mix-ins. 🙂 I especially like this one because they let you manage your entire family from one account which is easier than setting up several different ones. Baskin Robbins also has a free birthday scoop when you sign up here .
2) McAlister’s Deli sent me a $5 off $5 coupon last year on my birthday. It was enough for me to get a cup of soup, a cookie, and an unsweetened tea (my favorite!) for free. Score. Sign up here and see if they do the same for you. Noodles & Company also sends you a free entree (no purchase necessary) when you sign up for their Noodlegrams here.
3) And probably one of my most favorite ones, Lone Star Steakhouse gives you a free entree up to $15 when you sign up for their e-mail club (down in the bottom right)! We ordered mine carry out and ate it at the King’s parents’ house.
Those are my Three Things This Thursday (technically there were 5 but who’s counting?). What about you? Do you have a favorite birthday freebie tip you’d like to share? Comment it up and let us know your three favorite things to get for free on your birthday!
