Check out this site which details the newest Disney rendering of the movie A Christmas Carol featuring Jim Carrey as Ebneezer Scrooge (Colin Firth as his nephew yay!). To promote movie which won’t be out until November 6, 2009 Disney has launched a train tour with stops in 36 states, beginning in June. The next stop is June 12-14 in Denver (heads up to Duchess Nicole and her entourage). For my faithful CA readers, it will be in Sacramento June 19-21.
And HOORAY for Southside Indy Hoosiers. On September 9th the train will roll through Bargersville, baby. I’ll remind you closer to the date but that is AWESOME. The train will feature a 3-D movie theater that they erect in each city with clips from the film, interactive exhibits featuring the movie, and a chance for your little Mouseketeer to possibly appear on the Disney Channel as their hometown’s official Movie Surfer. Sponsored by HP and Amtrak, the event is of course free and perhaps might have some swag (even if only stickers and movie posters) involved.
