You may have heard me mention on WTHR this morning that the Apple Store has officially opened at Conner Prairie. I also mentioned that until 5 pm this evening, you can get a 15% discount on EVERYTHING in the store. WOOHOO. Nothing says fall like the Apple Store opening! This fall, you can not only enjoy a variety of apples fresh from Garwood Orchards (LaPorte, IN), but also fall favorites like apples smothered in caramel (nom, nom, nom), chocolate and sea salt (yes please!), hot apple cider and even new specialties like chocolate-covered potato chips. You can also partake in freshly brewed organic coffee, apple fritters and donuts, all from Jack’s Donuts (I’ve heard this Fishers donut shop is top notch!).
Plus, the shop offers a wide range of gifts including: apple butter, gourmet pie mixes, locally made soaps and candles, Halloween decorations, and iron fire pit pokers crafted by Conner Prairie’s very own blacksmiths. I love fall gifty items. 🙂

Fall foods are the best. I love spiced apple cider and pumpkin muffins.
Have been going to Conner Prairie for a little over 35 years. Symphony on the Prairie became a staple food for the soul ever since they began. Favorite Fall food is gluten-free and dairy free pumpkin mini muffins with hot apple cider chaser. Here’s an added bonus: Breyers lactose free vanilla bean ice cream blended (by hand) with a heaping spoon full of Simply Jif peanut butter and topped with GFS semi-sweet chocolate chips (dairy free). Don’t know why Lactaid did not work for me, but Breyers figured out something to keep my intestines from becoming deranged! TMI?
