These are my royally aching feet.
Last week was a rough week. I’ve been back on track with running but suffered a setback on Monday in the form of a flair up of Plantar faciitis. I had a doctor’s appointment on Friday {Random side note: I had NO idea just how many foot and ankle clinics were in my area. I guess everyone has 2 feet so that means 2x the doctors but WOW} and I learned all sorts of things about my feet. Like this:
That’s right, I have “Old Lady Foot.” Although the podiatrist quickly exclaimed, “I didn’t say that!” after I asked him if that’s the direction he was angling. So what does that mean? It means a verrrry expensive pair of custom fit orthotics {double ouch} and it means no more bare feet. FOREVER.
This is a big problem for me. You see, I grew up in the country and go without shoes more often than I put them on, no matter the season or where I’m headed. But I’m trying to heed this admonishment and be a good little Queen. However, I am allowing myself to be barefoot in one and only one place {well other than bed because wearing shoes to bed is just weird}. But back to dealing with a running setback {it all ties together, I promise}.
I’ve been eating Oatmeal Cookies to cope. Not exactly productive but you know . . .
But baking Oatmeal Cookies = extra dishes in the sink. Extra dishes in the sink = needing to stand and wash them = aching feet all the more. It’s a vicious cycle. Enter my newest best friend, the Ergo Comfort RUG from Gel Pro. It’s like a massage for my feet while I’m doing the dishes, no joke.
See how happy my feet are? Ok so sue me, I’ve just learned how to use PicMonkey and I’ve gone a little overboard.
I seriously do LOVE this rug. Not only is it beautiful and plush, it also has an amazing gel center that cushions and comforts your feet while you do your dishes or say if you were to drag it around the kitchen while spot cleaning the floor on your hands and knees {not that I would know}. I’m not going to sugar coat it, the rugs in the new Ergo Comfort Artisan Series of GelPro are pricey. However, they are certainly 100% luxury, as the smiley faces on my feet will verify.. And a quick glance around the GelPro site yielded a FABULOUS deals in the Clearance Center.
While I <3 a fantastic Clearance deal, I love to give things away even more. That’s why I’m thrilled to give away 1 Ergo Comfort Artisan Series of GelPro to a Lucky Money Saving Lord or Lady. Check out the Rafflecopter to see how you can win.
I received an Artisan Series GelPro Ergo Comfort Rug to keep for myself and one to give away from GelPro. I was not compensated for this post. I just want you to have Royally Happy Feet. My feet are aching right now and would love a massaging rug!
I like the rug covers. Might be less of a tripping hazard than just covering the mat with a loose rug.
Damask Alabaster would blend in my kitchen best so I’d like that I think!
Maybe this will inspire me to wash more dishes!
I would have such a hard time having to never go barefoot again! I’m so sorry, and hoping you get relief soon! For the rug, I like the Blossom Brown.
