I’ve been busily preparing for Blissdom. I can’t believe that I’m leaving Wednesday morning! There is still so much to be done. I have laundry of my own to wash and pack. Laundry for the Princesses to wash, dishes to do, and meals to prepare ahead of time to help the King of Free out a little bit. And I need to e-mail to noble Ladies and the Queen Mum who are helping watch the Princesses while I’m gone. Top that off with the fact that my business cards that I ordered over 2 weeks ago still. aren’t. here.
If you’re list making, packing, and getting ready to hit the road (for anything not just Blissdom), these FREE apps will make your life much easier when you travel.
GasBuddy: I have simply fallen in love with this app over the last couple of weeks. It GPS tracks your location and then lines up the most inexpensive gasoline all around you. Bonus when you’re trying to save a few pennies on your gas budget.
ColorNote: The only thing better than sticky notes is multi-colored sticky notes. Keep track of your multiple lists without the paper trash. And you can even drop a note on the homescreen to keep that reminder in front of your face.
TripIt: This app is like having your own personal travel agent. Track itineraries, flights, and more while you interface with your gmail account or Facebook. I haven’t had too much time to play with this one yet. But it looks handy especially if you’re flying.
Kindle: Everyone loves a good read while on the plane or riding in the car. Be sure you download the free Kindle app and then take advantage of literally millions of FREE books from Amazon and the sites it suggests. Go here. I’ve been reading the Scarlet Letter again thanks to all of the great free classics!
Spaghetti Marshmallows: Everyone needs a good time filler, whether you’re waiting on a flight, midair, or waiting for someone to pick you up. Move over Angry Birds and Mole! Mole! Mole! I have a new fan fav. It’s Marshmallows and Spaghetti where you build towers with you guessed it – Marshmallows and Spaghetti. I think I’m soft on it because I used to play a game like this IRL. But regardless it is addictive! I’m pretty site with the Lite version which is free.
