For some reason I have tried to write this post 3 times and it keeps deleting itself. So this is my last attempt to share these great events with you! There’s plenty to do with your kids this weekend to celebrate the season without spending a dime and maybe even making a gift or two. Check ’em out.
Santa and Geoffrey will be in full action this Saturday December 4th from 12 PM – 3 PM at Toys ‘R Us stores. Enjoy picture ops (bring your own camera), storytime featuring the classic “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” decorating your own Gingerbread cookie, free give aways, and more! This event is intended for children ages 3 and up who are accompanied by an adult. So don’t expect free babysitting for the afternoon. 😉
If you’re feeling like building and growing together this Saturday, December 4th, check out Lowe’s Build and Grow Clinic. You’ll be constructing a train caboose and your little builder gets not only a free project but also an apron, goggles, a project patch, and a certificate of completion. SPOILER ALERT: Next week’s project is a passenger car for your train! Register online for the event held from 10 to 11 AM. Ideally this is suited for children age 5 and older.
If you need a frame for that holiday family picture to use as a gift for Grandma or merely place on the mantle, check out Home Depot’s Kids Workshop to construct a cute picture frame. On Saturday, December 4th from 9 AM – 12 PM, your little carpenter can work on this free project and also receive a special pin, orange Home Depot Apron, and certificate. Again this is better suited for children who are a bit older. Call your store location to make sure they are participating.
Last but not least, don’t let the kids have all of the fun. Check out a FREE adults workshop at the Pottery Barn for tips on holiday decorating and entertaining. Again, check with your store location to make sure they are participating, but this event is scheduled for Sunday December 5th at 10 AM.
