I wanted to take a couple of minutes and thank the many of you who have e-mailed me recently. I try to respond to each and everyone personally but since I’ve been under the weather it’s been a bit more challenging even to drag my sorry rear end over to the laptop. I rarely get sick which means I’m a big baby when I do, but I digress. So anyway, thanks for your well wishes, tips, and ideas. I’ll definitely get back to you but it won’t be as soon as I’d like it to be.
Thanks too for being patient during the holiday season as I took a bit of a break from blogging. It was great to spend time with friends and family but I’ve missed you all, too! I hope that you, too spent plenty of time (and not too much money) this Holiday Season. And don’t worry, I’m not hanging up the keyboard for good. If anything, we’re just getting started with the money saving, tips, ideas, and of course free stuff! What is the Queen doing in the New Year, you ask? Well let me tell you, breaking it down days of the week style.
Mondays: As usual, look for a Monday Meal Plan, sharing what we’re eating on the Royal Table. Occasionally, I’ll also share a money saving recipe or two on Mondays, too. And I’ll collect some links to help you with all things culinary and money saving.
Tuesdays: I’m very excited to unveil a new weekly feature tomorrow: Buff on a Budget. Being fit doesn’t have to cost a bundle. Now, this is not only a thrifty weekly chat/brainstorming session but a personal aim and goal. You’ll learn more tomorrow but the Queen is on a bit of a personal quest to get her groove back (where oh where has it gone?!?!).
Wednesdays: What Do You Do Wednesdays will be filled with helpful advice from both me and YOU on how to save $. I’m actually collecting some of my favorite money saving tips from many of you on Facebook right now (today we’re talking laundry tips). If you’re not following the Queen on Facebook, you’re really missing out. There’s a whole community of Money Saving Lords and Ladies who daily dish out their best money saving tips. There are over 1000 Members strong who chime in whenever I ask for a tip. Join the fray and lend your voice! Together, we can save more money than we ever can alone.
Thursday: Three Things Thursday will be back with a focus on some of my favorite things – music I love, websites I love, items I couldn’t live without, and much more. And I’ll also feature some of my favorite money saving tips and ideas.
Friday: Friday Freebie Round Up will again be a regular part of the Queendom but will be joined by a bi-weekly check in on where we are in our challenge to pay off debt and become financially free. Freedom Fridays will be a chance for me to reflect on where we’ve been and focus on where we’re going. I would love the chance to share some of your stories too! If you’re on a path to get out of debt and have slain a small dragon or conquered the whole kingdom, please e-mail me your story so I can share it with everyone else. Let’s encourage each other to dig in and kick debt to the curb forever! I love hearing people on the Dave Ramsey Show share their personal victories and I know plenty of Lords and Ladies out there have a tale to tell, too.
Saturday: Yes, you read correctly, I will begin blogging intermittently on Saturdays. When I post on Saturdays, look for money saving ideas when it comes to spending time with your family. I’ll share some of my favorite things going on in the Indy area and our favorite things to do that don’t cost a bundle. I’ve recently had some requests to share goings on at local churches and other groups. If you have a free event, I will share it when I can on Spending Time, Not Money Saturdays.
Sunday: Again, I will occasionally post on a Sunday in the New Year. No big promises here since Sundays are very busy for us but I hope to share some ways for you to be generous in the New Year without spending a ton of money. We all have something to give, plenty for which to be thankful, and we all need to care about the world around us and those in need. Together we can change the world.
In the New Year we’ll also talk now and again about Being Green and Saving Green, Square Foot Gardening a.k.a. the King’s Quest, The Dreams and Goals of a Queen, Royal Coupon Stratgeies, and more. Plus count on plenty of free samples, trials, coupons, and more. Grip down on the Royal Carriage Rails, we’re just getting started around here. Thanks for reading and being such a huge part of my life!
