Greetings Money Saving Lords and Ladies! It’s that time of the week again. Time to plan to use what we’ve got. As the old adage goes – fail to plan, plan to fail. And we know it be true in our house when it comes to groceries. If I don’t plan what I’m buying, I buy duplicates. If I don’t plan what we’re eating, food goes bad. And thus my little Monday ritual was born. You don’t have to plan on a Monday, you don’t have to do a whole week (or only a week) but it’s what works for the Queendom.
I’m trying to prepare a few freezer meals for next week when I’m gone to Blissdom (egad, a little over a week away!). The Youngest Princess is going to stay with the Queen Mum and the Eldest Princess and the King will be holding down the castle here (with a little help from friends/neighbors). So I’m trying to make it easy as possible for them to continue on the restaurant free phase. Since we’ll have one month down by then, why not make it until at least Valentine’s Day?!
Here’s what’s for dinner on the Royal Table this week:
