Feeling < Than What I Want to Be . . .

Tips like these helped us pay off $127K in debt. You can read our story in Slaying the Debt Dragon: How One Family Conquered Their Money Monster and Found an Inspired Happily Ever After.

November 16, 2009 By Cherie Lowe

Ever have one of those days when you feel like you’re missing. every. stinking. mark.  I’ve been in a funk lately and can’t seem to quite shake it.  Or quiet the voices in my head.

There are days when I feel like:
< than the mom I want to be.
< than the wife I want to be.
< than the friend I want to be.
< than the housekeeper I want to be (ok, if you know me well this is pretty much every day).
< than the Believer I want to be.
< than the doer I want to be.
< than the dreamer I want to be.
< than the manager I want to be.
< than the bargainista I want to be (I know, I know, I'm a freak.).
< than the role model that I want to be.
< than generous.
< than kind.
< than encouraging.
< than loving.
< than selfless.
< than thoughtful.
< than resourceful.
< than who I know I can be.
< than who I've been made to be. It’s all I can do to hold onto the truths that I:
am worth > than sparrows.
believe in Someone who can do > than I ask or imagine.
have a husband who finds me worth > than rubies and tells me often (and says more > statements like these to me frequently).
am living out a faith where loving and doing are > important than having the right answers.
realize life is > than food and the body > than clothes.

Longing for > than in your < than today (and mine).

I can so relate to this, QoF! I totally appreciate your friendship and know that I’m just a phone call/email/tweet away if you need a pep talk. Chin up and keep a truckin’. This world is not our home…

Also, the Eldest Princess has been doing <> in school and it had me thinking about what the signs represent and how they always point to the smaller amount. hmmm . . . Still chewing on it all. I know what you mean. We are often our own worst critics. You are doing many knew things and working very hard at accomplishing your goals. This is when you can be under the greatest attack. Know that those thoughts aren’t from the Lord and that He values you and thinks you are > than you think you are. Take care and keep up the great work!
