My deepest and royal apologies, Lords and Ladies. I felt the need to take a three day weekend. 🙂 It really didn’t happen on purpose but I assure I think I needed to unplug for a bit. I feel bad for those of you who are new followers. I promise I’m not usually this much of a slacker. I’ve just been a bit distracted.
So last week I mentioned that one of our cars went kaputsky. Welp, on Saturday not only did the other car get diagnosed with issues (luckily it’s under warranty and is already at the dealer this morning) but the steering went out on our mower. I didn’t even get my bike out this weekend as I feared that if it had wheels, and belonged to us, then it would certainly have a little black cloud floating over it. Add to the wheeled woes a Mail Application on my MacBook that I think has a corrupted file so it won’t open and you get one bummed out Queen. Hence, my lack of blogging.
I did get some good rest over the weekend, started a new book and listened to an awesome CD (more about that later in the week). And I got to push mow the front yard (yes, I said got to. I love. to. mow. I’m a geek.) since the rider wasn’t working (lest you think I’m lazy for not pushing the entire yard, keep in mind we have 1.5 acres). We had a great AM at our church on Sunday, one of my 2 fantasy teams won yesterday (the other is ahead but will probably lose tonight), and of course the Colts and Fever (heading to the FINALS, woot woot!) won over the weekend making an Indy girl like me cheer.
For those of you following our mouse debacle, we caught a 2nd over the weekend BUT when the Youngest Princess got up at 5:30 AM this morning, I could hear one in either wall or the ceiling. Slowly feeling like I’m losing my mind with these little rodents (to read my rant questioning why so many beloved children’s characters are rodents, go here). Hopefully before the cold weather really sets in, we can rid ourselves of our four legged “friends.”
That’s pretty much all the news that is news around these parts. Hope that your week gets off to a great start. Even in times of frustration, I’m seeking to find reasons to be grateful (i.e. My parents have lent us their truck while both vehicles are under the drive as little as possible order), save more money, and pay off stupid debt. AND I’m super excited about the numerous speaking engagements I have in the month of October. It should be a GREAT month.

I hear ya the Mice thing. We’ve caught NINE since the end of July. Yuck. And, a couple weeks ago, we had one car that needed new brakes and another that had the Check Engine light on. It’s been that kind of month. Almost over, right?
How’s your back?
You have had quite a go of it lately. I will be praying for you and your family through these times. I know it seems like everything is happening all at once, but you are doing great. I just want to encourage you. Take care!
Lady Joanna, the mice must not win. They must be eliminated before the winter months come. 😉 My back is still around 85-90% – slightly off but MUCH better. I really need to get back into the massage therapist but feel ridiculous asking someone to watch the baby so I can get a massage. I need to get over it and go already though. I could also use a couple of good workouts now that I’m able to move again.
September has been long Lady Jackie. Thanks so much for your support and prayers. I think things are beginning to settle down a little bit which is good news, soothing to the soul. 🙂 Brian and I have a trip coming up in October that should be relaxing and refocusing so I’m pouring all of my energy toward preparing for it!
