Ok, so I’ve spoken of my addiction/admiration/respect for Dave Ramsey more than once on here before. And in the Queendom to pay off our debt, we’ve found no better plan than the Dave Ramsey way of life – plasectomys, rice and beans living, paying off debts from the smallest to the largest with gazelle intensity. Thus far, we’ve paid down around $30,000 in 18 months and can’t even believe it!
If you’re not familiar with Dave Ramsey he has a daily radio show, a daily TV show, and has authored many books. He also does Live Events called Total Money Makeover Live Events where he entertains, inspires, and educates folks about how to get out of Debt, plan for the future, and act their wage. Just so happens that one is coming to Indianapolis on Thursday October 1st at the Indiana State Fair Grounds. And on Twitter this AM, I noticed that @DaveRamseyLive Tweeted out that the first 1000 tickets they were selling for ONLY $9.99!!!! I checked out the site and it’s so. This is a fabulous savings (they’re usually $40) and a great way to get an introduction to some of Dave’s teaching if you’re not familiar with it. If you don’t live in the Indy area, they’re also featuring the same deal in Portland, Grand Rapids, Houston, and Dallas. And their Entre Leadership 1 Day Retreats (for small business owners) are $99 (regularly $425!!!!) and going fast. Serious deals going down, Lords and Ladies. As a side note, I was checking my site’s stats this week and noticed someone had googled Dave Ramsey Blogger and landed here. Ego properly stroked. Excited that the Google gods have deemed my blog and Dave Ramsey in the same category. Hee, hee.
