Good Day Fine Ladies and Lords . . .

Tips like these helped us pay off $127K in debt. You can read our story in Slaying the Debt Dragon: How One Family Conquered Their Money Monster and Found an Inspired Happily Ever After.

June 8, 2009 By Cherie Lowe

I’m not sure why I ever promise to blog on the weekends when it never seems to get done.  🙂  I just end up having way too much fun with my family (and working in the yard too much, in this weekend’s case) that I don’t end up having either the time or the energy to sit down and write any at all.  Anyway, I’m back with you this AM after a bit of craziness during the morning hours . . .

My car got hit 2 Sundays ago at church while I was volunteering for a youth event (that will teach me for being so nice!).  So last week and today has involved way too much insurance company interaction and finally a rental car and dropping off the car to be repaired.  It was a minor accident – no one was in the car and only the driver’s side front door was damaged.  However, it meant all week last week I climbed in and out of the passenger side to drive.  Yes, I’m sure it was amusing not only for my daughters but for the other people in the parking lot wondering what in the world I was doing.  And let’s just say I highly discourage anyone from taking a very active and mobile 15 month old to the Collision Center while dropping off a car and doing paperwork for a rental vehicle.  I could really use a nerve pill and a couple extra hours in my day; but, what’s done is done.  I’m now trying to get her to go down for her nap (it hasn’t proven successful yet) while the Eldest Princess does some summer bridge work and hopefully I get to bring some new ideas/thoughts/opportunities your way.  Check back in the afternoon if you don’t seem my normal Monday load of posts and hopefully I can finish things up during afternoon nap.

The Eldest Princess did write her first post (and typed it herself, too with very few corrections from me) on Princess of Free over the weekend if you haven’t been out there in a few days.  We’re getting the ball rolling and I’m hoping for her to post every other day or so, depending on what content she has in her noggin’.
