So let’s veer off of the money saving course and talk about tunes for a few this AM. 😉 I’m very tempted to dump blogging altogether and race off to buy some new music today. It’s not that I don’t love you, just that I got a $20 Amazon Gift Card Code this AM for a book review that I forgotten was even coming. And my iPod is dying for some new songs to encourage me along on my path of getting back into training condition. So every bone in my body is restraining me from hitting buttons to make a new tab open in Safari so that I can use that $ that’s burning a hole in my virtual pocket. We’ll get there soon enough this AM, I’m sure (even though I have loads to do . . . get the laundry/dishes reference? Wink, wink, nod, nod, giggle, giggle). I thought that I’d share three songs from different bands/artists that came across my iPod this AM in the dock. You’ll begin to find me even stranger than you thought me to be if you try to analyze my selections or tastes. So just go with me here.
1) “Hoedown Throwdown” by Miley Cyrus. I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that I really liked this song when it first came out. Radio Disney has played it death, ruining a descent song which is normal procedure for any radio station but I still love watching both Princesses (the eldest can follow the directions in the song that little one has some wicked dance skills) break it down HickHop Style in my kitchen. We heard it just before the bus came this AM.
2) “I Don’t Care” by Fall Out Boy. I’ve followed FOB for awhile and probably loved them most in the days when Pete used to guest star on One Tree Hill (yes, I pretend I’m still a teeny bopper and watch this show pretty regularly and admit that I LOVE it . . . long story that has to do with mandatory resting during my 2nd pregnancy and us getting the Soap Network even though we weren’t supposed to although it’s disappeared now). Anyway, a lot of their tunes grace my workout lists. Kinda in the same category but not exactly the same, I’m a pretty big All American Rejects fan, too.
3) “Hooked on a Feeling” by the Baha Men. I’m not a Baha Men fan at all. And I couldn’t tell you any of their other songs except for of course “Who Let the Dogs Out?” (admit it, you finished the song line). I had to buy this track for something I did @ church but still can’t help myself from Ugga Chucka Ugga Ugga-ing along when it comes on . . .
Other artists’ notes traveling through the house this AM: Blues Traveler, John Mellencamp (an all time, long time favorite), Michael Buble, Hillsong United, Gwen Stefani, Norah Jones, Dan Zanes, Donna Summer, John Mark McMillan, Digital Underground (those of you who know the King know which track), Kula Shaker, The Soggy Bottom Boys, Relient K, High School Musical 2 Soundtrack, Plain White T’s, and The Ting Tings. Yes, I can admit that I’m musically schizophrenic. What about you? What are three tracks you’ve heard today?

Okay…
1) Fix You (Live) – Coldplay; thanks Queen for the tip on the free album!
2) Make You Feel My Love – Adele; cover of a lovely little song
3) See the Light – Green Day; most-enjoyed-so-far track on Green Day’s new album
Bonus: Not on iTunes, but saw the video (again) this morning… Blame It by Jamie Foxx; video and song both intrigue me. Interesting conglomeration of famous ppl in the vid.
