T.G.I. Friday’s!

Tips like these helped us pay off $127K in debt. You can read our story in Slaying the Debt Dragon: How One Family Conquered Their Money Monster and Found an Inspired Happily Ever After.

September 26, 2008 By Cherie Lowe

Our tip comes courtesy of Lady Amanda today who suggests that you check out T.G.I. Friday’s Give Me More Stripes Program.  It’s a reward program where you collect points to earn free food and who doesn’t love free food?  If you sign up online today you can see how you can get a free appetizer.  Now, the Queen hasn’t been to Fridays in quite some time but would like to check out some of their new items since the guy from the Food Network has come on board to help with their stuff.  I can’t even think of the guy’s name – blond spiky hair and kinda crazy – but we ended up in a hotel for a conference one week before the youngest princess was born and since I wasn’t exactly in the mood to take a dip in the pool, I spent a lot of time watching the Food Network.  It was a channel that the eldest princess and I could agree upon and we were enthralled with the challenge show that this fella is featured on.  We don’t have cable and I haven’t seen the show since but it obviously made an impression on me.  Anyway, hopefully you can enjoy some free food this weekend.  None for us as we’re still dining out free (paying for it that is), 41 days and counting.  I can’t imagine sitting down at a restaurant that wasn’t a quick serve and only getting a free item and the standard of the Queendom – water.  So this one’s not for us right now but hopefully you can enjoy it.

I had a tasty “Right Portion, Right Price” entree at Friday’s back in August. I felt good about the price and not guilty like maybe I should be saving half the meal for lunch the next day. And it filled this pregnant woman up! My co-diner also really enjoyed her meal which was another new offering. I think the Food Network bloke’s name is Guy and I really love the show they gave him (for winning The Next Food Network Star), Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. He’s always eating something that looks so bad for you, but so so yummy.

That show is awesome. And makes me want to eat horribly bad for you food. I did not realize the guy’s name was Guy. 🙂
