I’m a firm believer that everyone should have a set of Grocery Store 10 Commandments. These are 10 simple guidelines or boundaries that help you be more effective in the aisles. While not hard and fast (everyone has moments of weakness or needs to make exceptions upon occasion), these rules will help you be intentional and strategize your shopping.
These are my personal Grocery Store 10 Commandments and in Chapter 5 of Slaying the Debt Dragon, I go into detail about why I chose these particular ten for myself. I also give you plenty of space to create your own Grocery Store 10 Commandments. You may even want to use a few of mine to get your creativity flowing.
#5 is my absolute favorite boundary and it saves me $5-10 every single time I shop without a single coupon!
