I’m going to be writing a couple of posts about our recent trip to Nashville in the coming days {including where you should stay and how to save money when you visit Financial Peace Plaza because that’s how we roll}. However, for those of you that don’t follow us on Facebook, and for my own personal record keeping, I wanted to embed the phone call where we declared our freedom from debt, live on the Dave Ramsey show in Financial Peace Plaza {btw, we were featured on Dave’s Blog last week, woot!}.
Again, many thanks for the kind comments, the encouraging posts and tweets. We had an amazing time celebrating in Nashville last week. It was a blessing to press pause on the busyness of life to celebrate this unique moment. It exceeded our expectations or even our dreams. And it wouldn’t have been nearly as significant if we didn’t have you journeying with us over the last 4 years. You have made victory over debt that much sweeter. Don’t think for a minute that we didn’t see your faces or hear your voices when we celebrated. Not in a weird stalkerish sort of way, but every bit of encouragement in the hardtimes came flooding back to us in waves. Every high five, every hug, every fist bump {whether virtual or physical} was the fuel that pushed us along when we didn’t think we could do it.
For those of you still on the road to paying off all of your debt, all I can say is KEEP AT IT. And no matter how much today stinks, the tomorrows on the other side of it are SO worth it. YOU CAN DO IT. And I long for nothing more than for you to feel this way. Every sacrifice, every scrimp and save, every bit of sweat from long hours, are efforts in peace and joy. I promise.
