You have to check to see if your specific K-Mart is or not . . . my mom’s super K is which makes a visit this week seem all the more tempting. However, one of the royal carriages is out of commission for reasons unknown (yeehaw for a tow bill) so it might not happen. Anyway, if you have any $1 coupons, it could make items pretty close to free. Freebie up! Also, be sure to visit K-mart’s website , sign up for their e-mail alerts which will give you two $5 off coupons (one in store, one online) for a purchase of $50 or more. Since I hope to do some grocery shopping I don’t think it will be hard to hit $50.
I tried out another pumpkin recipe last night which was eat the whole pan good. Here’s a link for Whole Wheat Pumpkin bars made with honey. I will probably even reduce the amount of honey next time (it calls for 1/3 cup) as they were plenty sweet. This recipe was perfect for us as we don’t eat refined flour or sugar often.
I’ve been into making my own baby food lately. Inspired by Stephanie, the Crockpot Queen , I have done sweet potatoes, green beans, and peaches all three and have been really satisfied. Plus the youngest princess loves them and we’re saving quite a bit of cash! 🙂 By the way, Stephanie’s posts on autumn dishes for your crockpot make my mouth water!
