Dear Money Saving Lords and Ladies,

I have to admit I didn’t expect to be so emotionally overwhelmed with the great number of comments on the Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University Give Away.  I was humbled by those of you who said you’d been reading for quite some time.

That we were an inspiration to you.

My heart was rent for those of you who were some vulnerably transparent about where you are right now with your finances.

It’s not an easy thing to do – to share that you’ve screwed up your finances.

Believe me I know.  When you live in darkness, hoping no one else will notice how dire things are, you fear bringing things into the light.  Four years ago, our path was scattered with bills, not knowing how we would make ends meet, and a general sense of embarrassment that we hadn’t managed our money well.

Reading through the comments, I wanted to reach out and give each and everyone of you a hug.  And an FPU kit.

I did a happy dance for Lady Adrienne and Lady Toni, knowing that their feet will be directed toward more financial peace.

Rue La La is a Daily Deal site with several high end fashion shops (some are pretty swanky and high priced but every once and awhile you can score a great deal).  I’ve been able to snag a couple of deals on there for well priced Saucony shoes (the only running shoe I buy) and cool home goods.  The Sunday Night Styleathon (every Sunday) has the best deals in my opinion and if I see something killer I try to share it on here.
