Good morning Lords and Ladies . . . wow I have a lot of content today. That means a lot of wonderful freebies coming your way and plenty to celebrate in the Queendom. Let me pause before we started, though.
While I don’t often offer words of a philosophical or spiritual nature, I have some words of encouragement to speak into your world this morning. I have been listening to a great podcast out of Mars Hill Bible Church this morning that reminded me that every time I complain, I miss the miracle of life going on all around me. In a season and time of the year filled with much to do, many places to go, it’s easy to fall into a pattern of grumbling . . . even if it’s a fleeting comment on not being able to get a parking spot. Seriously? We complain about a parking spot when many people in this world don’t own a car? C’mon. Apparently there is a rabbinical story told about the parting of the Red Sea where two individuals were looking down the entire time . . . complaining about the mud they had to walk through – it was sticky, it squished in between their toes, it was all over their sandals – and missed seeing the walls of water being held back. Are you missing the miracle today by complaining? Pause every time you catch yourself grumbling or arguing today and look for a miracle.
