Big Stinking Royal News

So I’ve been hinting all week long that I have some big news and it involves QoF.  Tomorrow AM, I’m being interviewed by the local paper The Daily Journal , talking about being frugal and saving money.  I’m actually taking the reporter and his photographer grocery shopping (we’re going to hit Aldi and Meijer).  I’m super duper nervous but very excited for several reasons.  I’m thrilled to share with the greater community what they can do to save some money.  Every dollar is stretching further for us and for many of you, too.  The economy is doing flips and flops right now that has most consumers nervous.  So if you’re newly frugal or even if this is old hat, you know what it feels like to share tips on how to save more.  I’m also excited for the opportunities that this might bring to QoF and my blogging passion.  It might not lead to anything more than a few new Loyal Royal Readers but hey even that is great in my book!

I’m so thankful that Lady Anita e-mailed me when she read that the Daily Journal was looking for frugal mamas via a listing in our church’s MOPS newsletter.  As a side note if you’re a mother of a child baby – preschool age, I strongly suggest you find a MOPS group in your area.  It’s a fantastic organization.  I know that I have several MOPS moms reading this blog regularly and I thank you!  She’s also been gracious enough to watch the youngest princess while I chat it up with the reporter.  Thanks Lady Anita!  You’re swell.  🙂

I’ll try to take my own camera with me and take a few pics for you and share what sorts of bargains we score.  I don’t talk about couponing often on here; however, I will share a few of those tips with you after my trip.  Anyway, all of this to say I’m guessing I’ll be publishing later in the day on Thursday.  So be patient with me please!  I will try to post the link of the article; however, the paper requires you to subscribe (either for a physical paper on an online subscription) in order to read the articles.  🙁  Of course the Queen would never ask you to actually pay money for something but I’ll do my best to recap the article.  🙂
