Three Things Thursday

Good morning Lords and Ladies!  It’s great to be in your presence today.  I’m struggling with being negative today and really there are so, so many good things in my life right now.  How silly to focus on what’s wrong when there’s plenty to celebrate in my world.  So to ac-cent-uate the positive, e-lim-inate the negative (and don’t mess with Mr. Inbetween), I present to you  . . . 


Three Things I’m Thankful for this Thursday:

1) My husband.  Ok, prepare yourself to gag or awww depending on your reaction.  The King is the greatest.  He works hard, keeps my eyes on the prize daily, and best of all he love, love, LOVES the princesses and me with a love deeper than the ocean.  He really does treat us like royalty and he could be all three of the things I’m thankful for today.  😉

2) God.  It seems overly simplistic to say I’m thankful to recognize the influence and guidance of the Divine Creator in my life but I am.  Easter always makes me acutely aware of the gift of new life in Him and the opportunity to be light in a world that can seem to be dark.  A quotation that has resounded within my soul this year has been: “Why blame the dark for being dark?  It’s far more helpful to ask why the light isn’t as bright as it should be.”  – Rob Bell.  I usually keep to bargain talk on here but in life I attempt to live in a manner that shines light into dark places.  I’m constantly trying to ask myself where beyond my comfortable seat in church can I shine into someone’s life.  Hopefully some of you gain encouragement here and hopefully I’m making an impact elsewhere.  If you ever have questions about my faith, I’d love to chat (either physically or virtually).  Hit me up on Twitter or E-mail me @ thequeenoffree@gmail.com.
