  • Happy National Teacher’s Day!  Chick-fil-a is offering a 3 piece count chicken strip to all teachers today (at participating locations), including those teachers that homeschool.  As usual, call ahead to verify that your location is participating.  Go here for more details.
  • Tomorrow Wednesday May 6th is National Beverage Day (mainly because it’s jealous of Cinco de Mayo and National Teacher’s Day), or at least it is according to the restaurant Arby’s.  Arby’s is offering a Free Fruit Tea to everyone.  You can choose from Passion Fruit, Mandarin Peach, Diet Peach, and Diet Blackberry.  I’m such a non-sweetened tea sort of person that I don’t think I’ll participate but still a great way to get a free treat!  Again check to see if your local Arby’s is participating.  I find that a call ahead of time is much more useful and polite than simply showing up and demanding something for free while mumbling something under your breath about my stupid blog when they say no.  Just sayin’.  Anyway, I got this one in an e-mail yesterday so I don’t have a link for you but it is legit and I’ve read it with my own eyes.
  • Walmart has another mini roll of toilet paper available for you, this time from Cottonelle.  For you campers this will be a great one to put back and take with you this summer.  For us non-campers it makes a great oh crud, we forgot to buy toilet paper this week stash.  Go here .
