Good morning Lords and Ladies. I’m coming to you live VERY early at the Castle. I’m headed out this AM with our church’s Middle School Student Ministries program for a trip to Kings Island. That means the coffee is brewing and I’m getting ready to gobble a piece of toast while I’m posting freebies for you. Then I’m doing the 30 Day Shred EARLY in the AM (moved up to Level 3 yesterday and wow), packing some lunch/snacks for my day, showering/getting ready, and then on the road . . . everybody sing it with me now “ROLLER COASTER of Love . . . ROLLER COASTER.” I’m feeling a little wiped, partially because I didn’t sleep so well – it was one of those nights where I was afraid I was going to miss the alarm clock in the AM so I woke up often to see the clock – and partially because the Shred wiped me out last night.
All of this has very little to do with my Three Things Thursday post except that since the girls are at the Queen Mum’s today (and last night), the King and I enjoyed a great night out (free babysitting, yay!). We spent a $15.50 and had an amazing fancy dinner. Here are our tips to save on date night.
1) Half Price Appetizers. We began our Evening at Bravo’s where we dined on a fabulous Tomato, Basil, and fresh Mozzarella flatbread. It was awesome and $2.99. Bravo’s has half priced appetizers at the bar. We had water and sat close by each other. 🙂 It was swell.
2) Split an Entree. In our little progressive dinner, we then walked around for a bit and finally stopped at Stir Crazy and split an $8.88 entree. It was more than enough for both of us to feel full. And not only did we spend half the price, we got half the calories. So our date night was a little less guilt-ridden.
3) Use Coupons. We finished off the evening with dessert to go from Arni’s. We had a $5/$5 which made it fuh-ree. Oh yeah.
We had a super intimate experience, a high quality of dining, and dropped less cash than most folks do on one entree on date night. Score.
