Here We Go Again . . . New Beginnings

Tips like these helped us pay off $127K in debt. You can read our story in Slaying the Debt Dragon: How One Family Conquered Their Money Monster and Found an Inspired Happily Ever After.

August 14, 2009 By Cherie Lowe

So it’s official, my Eldest Princess is a 2nd Grader.  Whew, where does the time go?  I’m finding that the house is very quiet this AM.  The Youngest Princess (aged 16 months) is not upset but she’s pretty quiet, not her stomping around, frolicking with her sister self.  It’s time for a new stage and age for her, too.  She wasn’t too aware when her sister was at school last year but this year she will certainly notice a difference.

The Back to School Bus Stop Breakfast Buffet was a huge hit!  4 families were represented, including 2 that don’t even have kids.  It was fun to just hang out in the driveway with each other and nosh on the yummy Banana Oat Dark Chocolate Muffins that I made yesterday while waiting on the big yellow dog to roll down the road and take my baby away.  🙂  I’m already excited to hear about her day and learn who’s in her class and get to know who her teacher is.  It’s going to be a great year.

Tomorrow, I’m thrilled to be going to the Social Media Summit at Blog Indiana.  Some of my favorite bloggers will be there . . . people like Lady Bargain Briana, Lady Joanna of Keeping Feet, Lady Heather from Inexpensively, Quatro Mama of 4tunate, the notorious Lady Casey of mooshinindy, Lady Breena from Indy Under 30 (on my new visitindy.com home), and Sir Jason of Bnpositive (and a few other places).  Plus my friend Lady Andrea who’s getting the wheels turning on a new blogging project will be there, too!  Lest you think it’s an estrogen fest, it’s actually a male dominated conference but I think we’ll make our presence known tomorrow regardless.  It’s going to be great fun.  Yay for the blogging community!  I’m hoping to learn lots during the day and dialogue about the nuts and bolts, as well as the spirit of blogging.  Ok, now that my geekitude is showing, I should get busy nabbing you the best of the best deals out there this Freebie Friday.

Grace and peace, Money Saving Lords and Ladies.  Make your day one to remember (in a good way).

I feel sorry for your little one. It about killed me when my sis went to kindergarten. 🙁 I remember it very clearly, and my mom said I wouldn’t come out of my room.
