Hi Lords and Ladies! I wanted to give you a quick update since I’ve been a bit behind on blogging this week. You may or may not have noticed that I promised three posts that haven’t come to fruition yet. I think it’s a little ironic that I’m having a hard time writing a post about setting goals when it’s one of my goals this week to write it. Just goes to show, no matter how determined you are to set goals, they don’t always happen on your time schedule, right?
Anyway, here’s what’s up today. I ran to the gym this morning because I’m getting in decent enough shape to run a 5K at the beginning of October. And I know to run it at the level I’d like to run it, I need to log some serious hours in at the gym. Soooo . . . I traveled with the youngest princess, somehow got there 15 minutes before the childcare center opened but it worked to my advantage to get her acclimated. Then I threw in 40 minutes on the eliptical and lifted some weights and then they came and found me. That’s right, my kid was the kid having the meltdown causing the other kids to melt. *Ugh* Worst. feeling. ever. She had a dirty diaper which probably was causing her to fuss and of course when I peered deep into her mouth I also noticed yet another molar coming in this time on the bottom and the other side. It had poked through the gum. Just when we get things back on track, another one of those sneaky teeth.
So after a quick change, we ran from there to the mall where I picked up my aerie a-list FREE gift for the month (FINALLY) which is a totally cute little New Balance Bag. I chatted with the gal working there about their new inventory. I LOVE that place even though I’ve only made one purchase there ever. She mentioned that next month’s a-list gift is a pair of undies (SUH-WEET) and that they’re going to start carrying New Balance stock in the fall. And I didn’t realize you also get something special in the month of your birthday (October for me, yay!).
From the mall we ran to Aldi where I happened to bump into my favorite manager. Things were in tip top shape and there was an obvious presence of suits in the house. Turned out the International President of Aldi from Germany was there. Pretty cool. Bumped into Lady Kristin (said favorite manager’s wifey) on the way out the door. Pleasant surprise and as busy as I feel today, I can guarantee she’s busier!
So now, I’m quickly going to blog some freebies for you and run to Meijer. Then we’ll run home, get the Youngest settled for a nap, clean the kitchen, prepare some food for the freezer/pantry and a snack for our group tonight, and THEN run to pick up a sitter for a meeting I have to run to after that. WHEW. It’s a runnin’ kind of day. I don’t mind because I like being busy but it sure will be nice to sit down when the day is done. Have a great day!
