Howdee Doodie Lords and Ladies. It’s another Monday and a chance for me to catch you up on all the news that is news in these parts of the Queendom.
- We had a great weekend! We did some cleaning up and cleaning out on Saturday and ended up with 2 full bags and 1 box to donate on Sunday. It feels so good to have less. We live in a small house and the more we clean out things, the better I feel spatially and spiritually.
- This week, I’m busy getting the house cleaned and laundry done because the King and I are getting away Tu-Sat. We are THRILLED for the chance to be on our own for a bit. We’re headed to ATL for a conference with the Queen Mum, the High King, the Duke, and Duchess. It should be a great time. But it means that I need to bring the house up from “Health Code Bad” to simply dirty. 🙂 The Royal In Laws are coming to hold down the fort and care for the Princesses in our absence. And while they would not care at all what kind of shape our house is in, it’s still good motivation for me to put my nose to the grindstone and get things tip top around here. It’s been WAY too long since they were even tip, let alone tip top. And like I mentioned before, it’s been a great opportunity to clear through outgrown clothes, decide which things we really need to live around here and what needs let go of, and pitch some junk that I tend to amass or at least re-organize it.
- Finished this book which was awesome. If you want to read an interesting but life challenging work, this one is for you.
- Mouse Count: 2 caught in traps. Small evidences of more little rodent friends but no physical sightings = STILL UGH. So, more traps set, poison out in the garage (I know I’m cruel, no need to point it out and make me cry).

Now, I’m off to plan some meals (abbreviated obviously since we’ll be gone most of the week) and gather the best of freebies for you today! A minor reminder that today is the last day to cash in on the Starbucks VIA Taste Test. I could totally tell which was which with my superior taste buds (ok, I guessed) and got my coupon for a free tall coffee on my next visit. YAY.
