This can help you make the most of things you already own and cut down those impulse buys in the grocery store. Start your own Holiday Bin if you don’t have one today.
Look for Restaurant Deals
I know that much of the modern celebrations of St. Patrick’s Day involves imbibing. However, I’ll be the first to admit that beyond any of my basic tips on dining out or grocery shopping, I don’t know how to save you extra pennies on green beer. However, I do know that many restaurants will entice you in with tempting specials. Be sure you have a plan for exactly how much you’re going to spend. Look for Community Fun
St. Patty’s Day is a community celebration! From parades to live music, from kids’ activities to physical fitness, you can find all sorts of fun ways to spend time without spending much money or any at all. For Indianapolis, the celebration kicks off on March 16th with the Greening of the Canal. The St. Patrick’s Day Parade is on March 17th and the Shamrock Run and Walk 5k is on the 18th. Irish stew, Irish soda bread, Irish coffee – there are many dishes you can prepare to celebrate this year. Even if you’re just eating Lucky Charms, you may feel a little festive. Many Irish recipes feature frugal ingredients that will feed a full house without much extra cash. Find a new tasty holiday tradition.
Leprechaun traditions with kids can be fun. Irish music and dance might be another great way to enjoy St. Patrick’s Day. You have so many ways to celebrate! Begin a little research early so you can spend time and not money this year.
