It’s that time of year again . . . the time when consumers flock to the mall to fight over flip flops. Yep, this Saturday 5/21 Old Navy is holding their Annual One Day Wonder $1 Flip Flop Sale where you can score a pair for $1 (they’re usually priced 2/$5 but you have to buy 2 pair to get that price). I must admit I’ve gone once or twice. I know at least one time, I walked into the store and right back out because the line wrapped around the entire place. I love some cheap quality flips as much as any other summer girl; however, that day the wait wasn’t worth it.
On the flipside (haha), I did do the $1 scarf sale last winter and scored several for a gifts.
My best frugal flip-flop tip is to purchase darker colors so that dirt doesn’t show. This is essential with kids and I learned the hard way when I purchased the Eldest Princess a pair of white flip flops for Easter a couple of years ago.
