Happy Veterans Day to all of those men and women who have served our country with courage and pride. While their sacrifice and service could never truly be repaid, many businesses are offering freebies in celebration of their efforts.
The majority of these freebies are offered for veterans and active service military. As a general rule, it’s wise to call ahead and make sure your location is participating before arriving and finding they’ve opted out. I’ve noted dates, sizes, and stipulations when available. Without further ado, Veterans Day Freebies 2023!
Restaurant Freebies
For most of the freebies, you’ll need your military ID and/or proof of service. Unless otherwise stipulated, freebie only available on Saturday, November 11, 2023. Click on the links for specific times and menus.
- Applebees: Veterans and active military members get a free meal (gratuity and beverage not included) from a special menu of seven different entrees. Veterans can choose to dine for lunch or dinner and will also receive a $5 Bounce Back Gift Card for their next visit.
- BJ’s Brewhouse: On Saturday November 11th, all veterans and active military can get a FREE Pizookie® with a minimum $11.95 purchase. They will also receive a Bounce Back Coupon good for a Free Appetizer on a return visit.
- Bob Evans: On Saturday, November 11th all veterans and active military can choose one of six entrees for free (includes breakfast options only, but they can be served throughout the day). Dine in Only, drink not included.
- Buffalo Wild Wings: FREE 10 boneless or traditional wings and fries for all veterans or active-duty service members. Dine in only.
- California Pizza Kitchen: On Saturday, November 11th all veterans and active military can order from a special free entree menu, including non alcoholic beverage.
- Cracker Barrel: FREE slice of Double Chocolate Fudge Coca Cola Cake on Saturday, November 11th.
- Freddy’s Steakburgers: Select locations will be giving out a card on Saturday, November 11th good for an Original Double with Cheese combo now through November 30.
- Golden Corral: Free Military Appreciation Night on Monday, November 13th from 5 PM to close for all veterans and active military. Details here.
- Little Caesar’s: FREE Hot ‘n Ready Lunch Combo between 11 AM and 2 PM on Sunday, November 11th.
- McCormick & Schmick’s: Sunday November 12th – half priced entree from a select menu.
- O’Charley’s: FREE “Veterans Thank You Meal” for all veterans and active military on Friday November 10th and Saturday November 11th. You can go for either lunch or dinner, but will receive a free slice of pie if you go for dinner.
- Red Robin: Free Red’s Tavern Double Burger and Bottomless Fries, no purchase necessary on Saturday November 11th with valid ID.
- Starbucks: FREE tall hot brewed coffee on Saturday, November 11th at any participating Starbucks® store for veterans, active duty service members and military spouses.
- Texas Roadhouse: FREE entree and beverage from a special menu for lunch (choose from 10 entrees) for all veterans and active military with valid ID Saturday, November 11th, 11 AM – 2 PM.
- White Castle: Active military and veterans receive a FREE Breakfast Combo or Castle Combo meal #1-6 on Sunday, November 11th and Monday, November 12th.
Retail Discounts & Freebies
- Grace for Vets: FREE car washes available for veterans all across the nation. Go here to find your nearest location.
- Crew Carwash: FREE car wash on Saturday, November 11 from 7 AM to 8 PM for all past and current service members, no military ID required.
- Great Clips: Card good for a FREE haircut that veterans, active, inactive, and National Guard members can use between November 12 – December 1, 2023. If they need a cut, they can also receive a free one on November 11. When non-military customers purchase a service on November 11th, they also receive a card to give to a veteran they know good for a free haircut.
- Kroger: 10% Off your total purchase and extra 10% off Kroger Brands!
- Lowe’s & Home Depot: 10% off your total purchase with military ID.
- Rack Room: Rack Room offers a 10% discount every Tuesday but also 20% off on Veterans Day to those with proper ID.
- Sports Clips: Free haircuts for active duty and veterans with proper ID at participating locations. And they’ll donate $2 for every other cut to veteran charities.
- Target: Target is offering two 10% off discounts in store and online good through November 11th. All the specifics can be found here. You will need to verify your status online.
