Those of you who have been following our story for awhile know that the King of Free, my knight in shining armor, hasn’t eaten at a restaurant in over 2 years {2 years, 3 months, and I think 23 days?}. Not a cup of coffee, not a glass of water, not even a Splenda packet – NOTHING at all from a restaurant. Not even if it was FREE! He’s had business meetings, we have traveled, we have been out to eat but he has not partaken.
His reasons are varied {mainly because we were getting out of debt}, however, we feel now is the time for his streak to come to in an end. And to do so, he basically in very dude fashion drew up a 64 “team” bracket, we’re calling it the King of Free’s Royal Restaurant Tournament. And you, the Money Saving Lords and Ladies of the Court of the King and Queen of Free shall get to vote on where he eats, round by round. Read his officialish rules. Voting begins Thursday on King of Free. Yesterday was Selection Sunday.
The regions are as follows:
- The Bovine Region {16 Steak/Burger Joints}
- The Fancy Shmancy Region {16 Fine Dining Establishments, most with 1 word names}
- The Italimexinese Region {16 Cuisines from Around the World}
- The ‘Erbody Else Region {BBQ, Breakfast, and everything else we couldn’t categorize}
