Three Thanksgiving Ideas from Pinterest

Tips like these helped us pay off $127K in debt. You can read our story in Slaying the Debt Dragon: How One Family Conquered Their Money Monster and Found an Inspired Happily Ever After.

November 17, 2011 By Cherie Lowe

Heya, I mentioned earlier this week that I’m sharing some of my favorite Thanksgiving ideas via Pinterest this week.  So without further ado, here are some ideas I’m crushing on for Turkey Day next week.

I’m not sure I’ll actually try this but I thought these little Pilgrim Hat Cookies were cute, fairly basic, and would keep little hands happy while the feast is being prepared. Find the details on how to make them from Woman’s Day magazine.
I actually have made the Pumpkin Oatmeal Cookies pictured below from Skinny Taste and they were absolutely DELICIOUS.  I made a double batch and the dough is in the freezer taunting me daily but I’m saving it for the weekend.  Bonus: they’re not nearly as awful for you as you might think and you can get away with using 1/2 whole wheat flour.  I nixed the pecans because the Eldest Princess is sensitive to tree nuts but they were still YUM-O.

Are you hosting little people at your Thanksgiving event?  Want something to keep them busy but still immersed in holiday fun?  Check out the FREE Kid’s Table Printables from Shindig Parties.  It’s going to take some work to make your table look as cute as the one in the picture {i.e. don’t wait until Thursday AM to print everything out; but there’s plenty to use and ideas to build on no matter your level of craftiness.  My level is zero.}.
