This is my current desktop Wallpaper. I love the reminders. I love the words. You can download it (for FREE) here. |
I believe in the power of words.
They can build up.
They can tear down.
They can portray beauty.
They can bring about horror.
I believe the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.
And all words tell a story.
In the Court of the Queen of Free on Facebook, I asked the Money Saving Lords and Ladies there to describe their 2010 in a word.
Some of the words were filled with joy and promise:
liberating . . . blessed . . . revealing . . . life-changing . . . awesome . . . wonderful . . . wow . . . redeeming . . . infant . . . memorable . . . DREAM
Others evoked deep emotion:
exhausting . . . unprofitable . . . frantic . . . nightmare . . . hard . . . poor . . . stressful . . . chaos
Some are left up to the interpretation of the writer (and the reader):
unexpected . . . challenging . . . fast . . . busy . . . roller-coaster . . . long . . . memorable . . . trying . . . slick . . . oily
Some of you couldn’t be contained by one word. I resemble that.
Each word has a very big story behind it. Or perhaps several stories of varying size.
Some of the words hit me like a shot to the gut. Filled me with sadness and empathy.
Some of the words made me want to ask questions. What happened? Why? Where is that path leading? How can I get there?
Some of the words were encouraging simply by their existence. Thank you. You brought a smile to my face and a leap to my heart.
My 2010?
Unfathomable.
Leave your word in the comments or add it to the list on Facebook.
