If you haven’t been following my posts on Indy’s Queen of Free (Doing Indy) and you live in the Indianapolis area or are visiting this weekend, stop everything and go here. I have been blowing up the blogsphere with all of the free and reduced rate events and activities going on this weekend. It’s crazy! There’s so much to choose from. Hope you can have some holiday fun without burning through your cash like a bad firework.
If you’re farther from Indy this weekend, there’s a Kid’s Workshop at the Home Depot to build a periscope. These workshops feature building fun for kids 5-12 and come complete with their own Home Depot orange apron and an achievement pin. Contact your local store to see if there are openings still available. The events are on the first Saturday each month. It looks like August’s (8/7/10) project is a cute school bus pencil holder perfect for Back to School!* Thanks to Sir Goob at Hey It’s Free for the reminder.
Michael’s The Knack Kids’ Club is featuring a patriotic craft project this Sunday, July 4th from 10 AM – 2 PM or until supplies last. This craft is geared for kids ages 3 and up.
