If you haven’t already signed up for the highly recommend it! I just got some coupons via snail mail AND e-mail yesterday. WOOHOO. This is especially hard as our yard is basically a State Park. We have 1.5 wonderful acres that require a lot of summer upkeep and we’re always looking for ways to do it on the cheap. Of course good ‘ole sweat equity is free.
As a side note, I mentioned on the Queen of Free Facebook Fanpage over the weekend that we got TWO truck loads of free mulch from the city of Greenwood. If your city has limb pick up service, more than likely they have free mulch to offer you too. For our city, all you have to bring is a Sanitation Bill and your Driver’s License. You can come as many times as you need, all summer long. Bring containers or a truck as the mulch is not packaged. Our facility is located on Fry Road near the Fire Station. It’s a HUGE savings and very good quality mulch. And it has our yard looking like a park right now and we’re not even finished yet. FREE is good! *Added Side Note: Lady Jen (a former Greenwood Firefighter) wanted me to let you know that the firefighters do not load the mulch. It’s simply located near Station 92. Don’t be asking them for free mulch. They’re kind of busy protecting our community. 😉 There are other city employees that work during the designated hours (which I believe are weekdays 10 AM – 6 PM and Saturdays 9 AM – 4 PM) to provide this service.
