Last week, the One2One Network and the Indiana Fever blessed us with a great opportunity to go to an Indiana Fever (Indy’s WNBA team) game. We had great seats and an awesome time at a very exciting game where the Fever won in overtime.
Played at Conseco Fieldhouse, the place was hopping for Inspiring Women night. Several women who have been an integral part of women’s and high school girls’ athletics were honored during half time for their contributions. Legendary Tennessee Coach Pat Summit was also interviewed during half-time.
It’s hard to believe that the Fever have been playing in Indy for ten years already! We’ve been to one game earlier on in their establishment and both proved to be extremely family friendly. The Eldest Princess loved the game (which was very exciting and well played by both teams) as well as the mascot Freddie Fever (contest winner for the first who can tell what he really is) who came by and visited more than once. The Inferno Dance Team also kept time outs and between quarter breaks hopping! Composed of both male and female student aged dancers, they rocked out all sorts of sweet hip hop moves. There also might have been some popcorn and cotton candy involved for the Princess and her friend.
The King commented on the hunger with which the Fever played. They looked more like an NBA team during the finals than a regular season game. They wanted to win and they did, with great style and awesome fundamentals.
Now for the best part! Fever Games are usually very affordable and right now they’re even more inexpensive. Many WNBA teams are giving deep discounts on tickets right now and I feel like the Fever have the best deal going with B1G1 tix when you use the code WNBABLOG while purchasing your tickets through Ticketmaster. A quick glance at the Fever’s promotion page also revealed that if you test drive a Subaru at either Dreyer and Reinbold Subaru in Greenwood, Falcone Subaru on West 16th Street or Tom Wood Subaru in Indianapolis you can get a FREE $25 Gift Card for the Home Court Gift Shop which features both Pacers and Fever wear, gear, and memorabilia. So you could even get a free souvenir for your little Prince or Princess. While reading the Promotion Page, I remembered that tonight is the first Thursday of the month, making admission to the Indianapolis Children’s Museum free (4-8 PM) and Fever Superstar Tamika Catchings will be there from 4-5 signing autographs. Awesome.
Hope you get to catch a WNBA game this fall before the season wraps!
As I stated above, the One2One Network provided our family with tickets to an Indiana Fever Game. No monies were received for this review nor was it edited by the WNBA or a PR company. I always give you my honest opinion regarding products so you can make an informed purchase decision.
