Good morning Lords and Ladies! It’s a little dreary outside here today in the Queendom. We’re receiving what feels like the 40th day of rain (I think it’s closer to 3). Our yard is going to be about 3 ft hight soon too if it doesn’t dry out long enough for us to get it mowed. I feel like perhaps the green portion of my compost bin is going to be filled to the top as we’ll have plenty to rake up after we actually get it mowed. But I digress.
Today I thought we’d continue on our Mother’s Day Theme. Yesterday I mentioned a few things that you could do for your mother to celebrate her without breaking the bank. Today we turn to the Fellas in the house who have Mama ladies in their lives that take care of their little yahoos with determined intentionality. Here are ways to channel yahoo energy, get a fabulous Mother’s Day gift (both the present and the time that you remove said yahoos from the mama’s care), and look like a professional Papa who has it all together. OR if you’re a mama who’s looking to love on Grandma or Nana this Mother’s Day these would also make fabulous gifts for them.
1) I was reading Lady Katie’s blog Gigglefits last night when I saw that Michael’s is giving you TONS of opportunities to let your little ones make something fun for Mother’s Day. They have 9 FREE WORKSHOPS beginning this Saturday May 2nd and running through Sunday May 10th! Go here for all of the details, projects range from very simple to a little more advanced. Wow! Thanks for the tip Lady Katie.
2) Don’t forget about the Lowe’s Build and Grow Workshop on Saturday May 9th where your kiddo can build this unbelievably cute planter for Mom for absolutely free plus then you get to go to Lowe’s on a Saturday AM fellas. I mean isn’t that some kind of dream or something?
3) If your little one isn’t big enough to make something yet and you’re pressed on time, consider this opportunity from Kodak. In their Mom-A-Thon Million Card Giveaway Kodak offers several cards to choose from ($2.49 value). You do have to pay shipping which I believe works out to be under a dollar. Use the card FREECARD.
So there you have it fellas, no excuses. And Puh-lease do not give me the old “She’s not my mother” routine about your wife. Nothing annoys me more. What about you? What are Three Things you do to save money when giving a gift to your wife or mother for Mother’s Day? Or two or one?
