So I haven’t much time to blog this AM – full day, today. But I didn’t want to miss out on posting the best give away of the week, a $10 Gift Card from Build-A-Bear.
Now if you’ve never built a bear (or pig, cow, dog, cat, horse or some other animal), you are missing out. We have taken the eldest princess about 3 times in her 6 years of life to build a friend. She has a bear (from a Pre-K field trip), an Elmo (from her 3rd birthday), and a puppy (from a special family night a few years ago). Each time the experience is magical. At first glance in the store, you might assume that it would be an overpriced and not worth it; however, if you stick to the basics you won’t blow your bear building budget. For starters, just say no. No matter how cute the extras and accessories are, set limits with your kiddos and tell them exactly what you will and won’t be buying BEFORE you go. Give your child a number of animals within a price range to choose from so they still feel like they can make a choice.
Build-A-Bear is giving you even more options for fun at a lower price this year! In fact, they have a couple of new friends that you can build for only $10 (including but not limited to a cute puppy, an adorable koala, and 4 different bears)! That’s right, with the gift card I’m giving away, you can make a friend and not need to spend any more cash than that. AND Build-A-Bear has pulled a page from the fabulous fad that is Webkinz to create an online community where you can interact with your specially made friend. Tonight, we’re surprising the eldest princess with a pre-made friend courtesy of Build-A-Bear in his special box and I’m sure we’ll register him online @ Build-A-Bearville and check it out!
