The eldest princess keeps reminding me that I need to add a few more “kids only” birthday posts, so here’s one for today. Bob Evans offers a kids’ club that includes a free meal on your child’s birthday. And yes, we have gone there before, purchased nothing for ourselves and watched our daughter eat her meal. 🙂 I know it might seem culturally weird or “rude” to do something like this but free is free and I’m cool with that. And yes, we did tip the waitress well. I think it’s easy to convince yourself sometimes if you get a deal on something or if part of what you’re getting is free then it’s ok to indulge. That’s not the way of the Queendom. You need to save those pennies for other things! So treat your kid on her/his birthday without treating yourself.
