Thanks to this post on Money Saving Mom, the Queen learned that this weekend both Toys ‘R Us and Borders are throwing special parties where you can bring the little ones for some fun.  Toys ‘R Us‘ event has a birthday theme and Borders a fall theme.  There are free giveaways at both.  I’m thinking both are designed to also get you thinking about Christmas and what the kiddos might be clamoring for come December.

The Royal Family will be visiting our local Apple Orchard this weekend and it features a free petting zoo!  You have to pay for feed – $.25 for a crank – but many other free activities avail.  We enjoy and suggest Apple Works in Trafalgar, IN.
