I LOVE a good calendar. In fact, I love two or three. As a busy family of four, it’s easy to lose track of everyone if I don’t write it down.
Over the last five years, the planners developed into a cultural phenomenon. There are so many varieties. On top of the basic planner, you can add costs for stickers and special pens and more. Many price way beyond my budget. However, there are plenty of affordable planners out there.
Today, I’m rounding up 10 different Affordable Planners and Calendar Apps in a range of prices to keep your new year organized and on track.
1. The Simple Elephant Planner
I’ve used this planner for a couple of years. I love that it has month at a glance and week at a glance options. Plus, I’ve used the notes area in the back of the planner for sermon notes at church this week. It comes in at under $20 and is a write in calendar format so you can begin using it at any time of the year.
2. Lenome Daily and Weekly Monthly Planner
For less than $1/month (less than $12) you can keep your life straight with this planner. I love the set up and the fact that it comes with sticker tabs to help you easily flip to the section you need.
3. Rustic Large Monthly Desk or Wall Calendar Planner
I keep a large calendar on the side of our refrigerator. It’s visible while we’re eating dinner and we can glance over it to see what’s going on with everyone in the family. I drill holes in the top and use magnetic hooks to hold it in place. In the past, I’ve purchased 12 month versions from the Dollar Spot at Target (for $3). This year, I opted for a one that’s an 18 month version. Plus it has space to keep notes on the sidebar, too. It’s less than $13
4. The High Performance Planner
If you’ve got a lot to get done in 2019, this is the planner for you. This planner is all about getting stuff done and is currently priced under $15.
5. The Christian Planner
I used Christmas money to purchase this planner this year. It hasn’t arrived yet, but I can’t wait to start using it. It’s gone up in price just a bit (it was $24.95 when I bought it and then when I signed up for emails I got a 10% off code). You can even download the PDF of the inside of the planner if you simply sign up for emails! I’m excited for the weekly sermon notes area.
6. The Passion Planner
I used this planner a handful of years ago. You can choose between an academic calendar (half priced at the beginning of the year because it only runs through July), undated calendar, or dated calendar. They have a Get One, Give One policy which I love (and you can subscribe for the chance to be a recipient of one). Plus, you can always download the FREE PDFs to print and use in a binder on your own. While they are a bit pricier (reg. $35), I like the larger size 7″x10″. This Rose Gold one is gorgeous, too!
7. Simpliday
I’m more of a pen and paper planner sort of girl. However, this app makes my heart happy. You can use the free version or upgrade to premium features. It’s an investment though, coming in at $7.99/month or $47.99/year. I’d definitely test out the free version before you commit to that kind of price point.
8. Cozi
I have plenty of mama friends who swear by this planning app for their families. Cozi has both printable options and app options for Android and Apple products. I’ve played around with the digital version some and I really like it. I think we might use this one this year in addition to my paper. There is a Gold version that’s $29.99/year which gives you a few nice options but isn’t necessary.
9. Costco 2 Year Planner
I snagged this for my oldest very creative daughter this year at Costco. It was $16.99 marked down to $11.99 and came with all sorts of goodies including 6 rolls decorative tape, 3 gen pens, 3 magnetic page markers, 2 mini list pads, 4 sticker sheets, and 2 bookmark inserts. I’ve been told it’s Happy Planner compatible. She loved it! Alas, you can’t buy this one online and they were running low when I was at mine so hop to it, if you want this one.
10. Goldistock Mom’s Family Planner
This is a great option for families to get a visual of who’s going where when. It comes in under $15 on Amazon. I like how there’s a column for each family member!
