Amazon Prime Day Deals are off and running. I’m still debating on whether or not the bargains are really that great. I was able to snap up the one item I’d hope to get – an Amazon Fire TV Stick for $24 (it’s all been claimed now). There are still some great deals rolling, including the Fire HD 7, 7″ HD Display, Wi-Fi, 8 GB for $79 (reg. $139). Regularly a new deal or two will pop up and then disappear as soon as it sells out.
I’ve seen a few articles refer to this sale as Amazon’s “Garage Sale” and even reference the weird things on sale. Who needs a new shoehorn? Um, no.
What I have found today are some everyday items that you might need and could snap up on the cheap if you have a Prime Membership. So without further ado, here’s what I’d suggest you check out:
Baby Wipes
I know, nothing says “rivals Black Friday” like buying something for to wipe your infant’s behind. However, Amazon has released a new line of wipes called “Amazon Elements.” I have a feeling we might see more products like this eventually on Amazon, akin to their own generic brand. If you go here, you will be able to get them for up to 60% off. If you use Amazon Subscribe & Save, you should be able to save even more. That means a six-pack of 80 count wipes for as little as $2.94. If there’s not a button to click to apply the code, you should be able to use ELEMENTS60 when you check out. It does say it’s a limited time deal, so it could vanish at any point today.
FitBit Charge HR
I’ve been eyeballing these badboys since they released earlier this year. However, I’ve yet to see a FitBit Charge HR for less than $140 anywhere. And they are still priced at around that price on Amazon today. However, there is a $25 Amazon Gift Card that you’ll receive in return for the purchase. It’s not a bad deal if you’re in the market. However, I will probably wait until the real Black Friday. 😉
Beauty & Grooming Products
Today only, Prime Members can get 35% off of select beauty and grooming products with the code NEWBEAUTY. There are an assortment of items – including hair dryers, makeup, razors, hair care products, and more. It only works on one item, so choose wisely. However, the best part of the deal is that you can use the code in conjunction with Amazon Subscribe & Save.
Health & Personal Care Items
Yet another practical deal to be found is a $25 gift card with qualifying $75 purchase of select health, home, and personal care items. Among the items are trash bags, diapers, cleaning products, protein, and more. If you want to maximize this deal, be sure to carefully read each item description page to scan and see if there are coupons available. I know the Pampers products, Huggies Products, Finish Products, Glad Trash Bags, and Scrubbing Bubbles all do. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like you can pair this deal with Subscribe & Save discounts though. In order to get the gift card discount, you’ll need to see what’s on sale, then clip any coupons (you should see them on the product page if they’re available or you can browse all coupons on Amazon’s site), then go back to the sale page and check the boxes of products you need. The coupons and $25 will come off your total. It’s a little work but worth it.
Baby Gear
If you’re in the market for carseats, baby carriers, or pack and plays, you can probably score a decent discount today. These deals come in the form of a discount or a $25 gift card. You can check them out here and they should be available all day.
There are more deals on the Prime Day Deals page. But I’ll be honest, you’re going to need to wade through them to find out if they’re worth it for you or not. However, just like Black Friday, you need to look for the unusual and even the common in your deal seeking. The big deals will probably be snapped up quickly. However, spend a little detective work and you might be able to get something you need for a great deal.
