This recipe has long been a Royal Favorite. I found it in a book that I can no longer find and I’ve altered the recipe over the years until I got it just right for us. Feel free to adjust it until it’s just right for you, too. It’s best when served hot and goes well with crackers, garlic toast, or my favorite tortilla chips. Tonight, we’re having it with Garlic Parmesan Pull Apart Bread from Pastry Affair. Also, you can make it ahead of time and refrigerate or even freeze until you’re ready to bake.
Without further ado, our favorite Pizza Dip.
Ingredients:
1 8 oz. Package of Cream Cheese {softened}
1/2 c. of Plain Greek Yogurt or Sour Cream
1/2 c. of Parmesan Cheese {divided}
1 c. of Mozzarella Cheese {divided}
1 tsp. of Garlic Salt
1 tsp. of Pizza Seasonings
1-2 T. of Pizza Sauce
Pizza Toppings
- Pre-heat the oven to 350 Degrees.
- Lightly oil a pie pan.
- Cream together the Cream Cheese and Greek Yogurt. Blend in the Garlic Salt and Pizza Seasonings.
- Gently add 1/4 c of Parmesan Cheese and 1/2 c Mozzarella Cheese.
- Spread into pie pan.
- Top with Sauce to taste, remaining cheeses, & favorite pizza toppings {typically we use Turkey Pepperoni, but we’ve done Ham & Pineapple, Veggies, and any other pizza topping that we love}. It serves best if you keep the size of the toppings small though.
- Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes or until bubbly and hot throughout.
Believe it or not, it’s even better on the 2nd day!
