I mentioned yesterday that beginning next Tuesday, I’m teaching a 4 part class at Stones Crossing Church. Let me answer a few questions that I’ve gotten about the class:
- Do I have to be a member of the church? NO! By all means, we welcome all sorts of visitors and there will be plenty of other Money Saving Lords and Ladies who do not attend Stones Crossing in attendance.
- How much does it cost? It’s FREE. You heard me right, a 4 week class to help you organize your finances and live more thriftily absolutely free of charge.
- Can I bring a friend? Of course! Just be sure that you both register here so we can have a good handle on who will be there.
- When is the class? The first four Tuesdays in May – May 3rd, May 10th, May 17th, and May 24th. We’ll meet from 7-8:30 PM.
- What about my kids? If you have elementary aged or birth-preschool aged kids, we’ll have an experience designed just for them while we meet. And yes, that’s FREE, too.
- Is it just your coupon class? No. While we will cover some coupon related material, the Royal Money Saving Academy is much more. Each day this week, I’ll be previewing some of the content.
- Is it a Bible Study? Not really. I’ve always been very up front about our faith. And this is my home church. Some of the course will be linked to what the Bible has to say about money and debt. However, the bulk of the course will be money saving tips, strategies for home finance, practical household management, and more.
Week 1: Introduction – Faith and Finances, a Royal Tale. Debt, budgets, and simple money saving tips have been a part of the Royal Family’s Debt slaying tale (over $96K paid off since April of 2008). But more than anything, our faith has guided our choices and journey. What does the Bible have to say about money? What does it say about budgeting? What does it say about debt?
I am very excited about the opportunity to meet each of you who have already registered. And there’s still time to register if you live nearby and would like to attend.
