Three Things Thursday: Three Things I’m Looking Forward To Next Week

Fall Break!  Fall Break!  Fall Break!  Chant it with me now.  Here in the Queendom we need a BREAK.  We need some time to relax as a family.  And personally I relax best when I’m out of our house.  When I’m at home, there’s always another load of dishes, another meal to prepare, a diaper to change, toys to pick up, floors to sweep . . . you get the point.  So we’re taking a mini-vacation and here are three things I’m looking forward to beginning next week!

  1. Great Wolf Lodge.  You might remember that we promised our Princesses – well really just the Eldest Princess since the Youngest Princess is only 2 – that when we paid off our credit cards we’d visit Great Wolf Lodge.  Well in February we paid them off and 8 months later, we’re finally getting around to that celebration journey!  After watching the CEO go all Undercover Boss a couple of weeks ago, we were even more excited and we snagged an awesome deal thanks to the 48 Hour Sale.  Of course all of it is being paid for with 100% cash.  NO Credit Cards allowed!
  2. IKEA.  I’ve never been before so we’re going! I figure if the kiddos can have some amusement (who am I kidding?  I LOVE water slides!), so can I.  Plus on Fridays, kids eat free.  Booyah!
  3. Dinner and an afternoon with friends from college.  They live nearby and just moved into a new home.  It will be fun let our kiddos play together .
Let me answer a few questions you might have ahead of time, or specifically one.  Will the King of Free eat at a restaurant.  Nope.  We’ll pack him snacks, swing by a grocery store, and make things work.  He’s pretty easy to please and we’re resourceful so I’m not worried.  Will the girls and I eat at restaurants?  You bet your bippy.  🙂
